Our firm was started by Mr Rajadurai Manoharan in June 2006 and incorporated Ranjit & Co in October 2006 with partner Mr Nadarajah Ranjithakumaran.
We provide advice on many areas of law including criminal matters, debt recovery, landlord and tenant, immigration, conveyancing, personal injury and family law. Mr Manoharan specialises in criminal law with 26 years of experience and has dealt with many cases involving serious fraud, money laundering, robbery, rape, drugs and other serious criminal matters. This firm currently holds the criminal franchise granted by the Legal Services Commission and hence legal aid help is available for individuals involved in criminal matters subject to financial means.
Mr Manoharan also takes charge of the civil litigation department and deals with civil matters including landlord and tenant, insolvency etc. on a privately funded basis.
Mr Ranjithakumaran's expertise lies in immigration law and with more than 26 years of experience behind him, he has helped many individuals obtained legal status in their applications for leave to remain in this country. We undertake applications for students visas, asylum seekers, working holiday visas, highly skilled migrant visas, business visas, right of abode for spouses, family reunion and appeals in all immigration matters. We provide advice and assistance with very competitive prices on private funds only.
Currently we have three consultants in this firm. Mr David Phillips has overall supervision for the criminal franchise held by this firm. He is a Solicitor-Advocate with over 30 years' experience and has represented many clients in serious criminal cases in the Crown Court. For civil matters, we have Emma Simons who is a solicitor with more than 10 years' experience and her expertise is in civil litigation and personal injury matters. John Tarling has almost 40 years of experience and takes charge of the conveyancing department handling both sale and purchase of residential properties, commercial leases and probate matters.
